張金堅明玲在罹癌之前，已照醫師的指示每年進行超音波檢查，算是合作度高的病人，照理說如果不幸罹癌，應是早期，而明玲得到的卻是惡性度高而且已是骨骼轉移的第四期病人，應屬少見，大家不要因為此特例而悲觀，倒是明玲得知病訊後，仍能配合醫師，進行手術、化療及定期追蹤，且能克服一些心理上的恐懼，使得病情完全緩解（即骨骼轉移完全消失），算是乳癌病人中的勇者。

所以特別提醒女性讀者，如果不幸罹癌，一定不要放棄任何一線希望，勇於樂觀面對，積極接受正規治療，既便骨骼轉移仍有20％～30％的五年活存率，況且不是每一位乳癌病人都是那麼晚期。
