作者：healthy 【中央社 記者林於國香港十日電】 港大微生物系主任袁國勇領導的研究小組今天指出，這種菊頭蝠被東南亞一帶的部分居民作為食物，中醫則拿來作為藥材。研究指出，這種蝙蝠可能有助於將病毒傳染給其他動物，包括人類。 港大教授袁國勇在美國一本醫學雜誌發論文指出，在四成接受測試的菊頭蝠樣本中找到SARS病毒。基因分析排列結果顯示，在菊頭蝠找到的SARS病毒與人類的非常接近。 研究發現，近四成菊頭蝠體內有一種類似SARS的病毒，目前尚不知道感染源頭。據報導指出，日前發現有動物感染SARS病毒的深圳野生動物市場，距離研究員在香港發現有SARS病毒的菊頭蝠位置只有十七公里。
