戰車連長孫吉祥意外身故，他的未婚妻為了替他取精留後，四處奔走；但未來想生小孩，恐怕未必需要男性的精子，只要有女性的卵子就能願望成真。

複製出「桃莉羊」的同一批蘇格蘭科學家9日表示，他們成功讓未受精的人類卵子分裂成胚胎，這是把生物學上的「處女懷孕」，即單性生殖法，運用到人類繁殖過程的英國首例，未來可望增加胚胎幹細胞的來源，供醫療使用。

單性生殖 (parthenogenesis)，又稱「孤雌生殖」，指雌性動物以未授精的卵產生後代，希臘原文的意思就是「處女懷孕」。

過去以此方法產生的動物往往有畸形現象，但愛丁堡羅斯林研究所的科學家表示，他們不會利用這種方法來製造、培養人類
