陳水扁總統日前宣示，在其任內將不開放大陸學歷認證，使得目前已取得大陸高等教育學歷的3、4萬名台生，恐怕得繼續承受「學歷無用」的苦果；尤其眾多前往大陸學習中、西醫的台生，因無法獲得我國政府的學歷認可，報考醫師執照受限，可能造就更多的密醫，值得政府重視。

兩岸交流日趨頻繁，加上產業西進的潮流，台商進出大陸越來越多，連他們的子女也跟著到大陸受教育；據瞭解，目前台生赴大陸求學的科系中，仍以中醫、西醫和法律學科系最為熱門。因此，一旦政府依舊不開放大陸學歷認證，勢必影響到這些台生返台就業的機會。
