修淑芬／台北報導13年前一場車禍導致王豫中終身癱瘓，在床上一躺就是近14年；直到第一社會福利基金會、職能治療師的支援介入，王豫中才知道殘障者靠著居家輔具，原來可以重拾部分生活自理能力，重新回到社會擔任志工，而不是「浪費」時間的癱躺在床上。

24歲那年，王豫中開車上濱海公路，在宜蘭路段遭後方來車撞擊而墜落橋下。車禍讓他傷及脊髓第4、5神經，除了手部神經還保留部分功能外，自頭部以下終身癱瘓。正值前程似錦的青年期，擔任業務的他無法接受，數度放棄自己，用手去咬破左手腕的血管，過10多年依稀可見當年傷口。
